Dudley update

I'm supposed to call the vets at 10:00...I'm forcing myself to wait until 9....I tried to make them let him come come last night, but they wouldn't... :cry2:

hey, at least you know he's gonna be OK (they wouldn't allow you to take him home otherwise)
 
HE'S HOME!!!!!....and not at all impressed with his lamp shade.
 
HAHAHA. My cat has a lamp shade for a while. :lol: :lol: Drove her nuts she couldn't scratch. :lol: :lol:
 
I had to take the lamp shade off, so he could eat...it was too big, his mouth couldn't reach the food dish :(

Yes, IN the ear.. they love that, when you use your knuckle and make teeny little circles in the ear... they grunt and lean into it.

Dud had to go back in for more surgery on his ear :cry:

So... what's wrong with his ear? Why more surgery?
 
He had an aural hematoma, which means his whole ear flap filled up with blood. He broke a blood vessel, most likely scratching. Then his incision got infected. I put the medicine on it everyday and gave him his antibiotics with peanut butter and I tried to keep it clean, but he's a dog. It's his job to get dirty.

Don't worry Spirit, I gave him nuggies in the other ear....he loves that.
